Defendant Convicted of Possession of Major Narcotics for Sale, Gun Possession

Aaron Woosley was convicted by a jury of possession of fentanyl for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of heroin for sale, three counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of ammunition by a felon.

Officers with the Placer County Special Investigation Unit obtained a search warrant for Aaron Woosley’s home and vehicle, which stemmed from an unrelated investigation they were conducting in Roseville. On February 2, 2023, Woosley left his North Highlands home and drove away in his vehicle. Officers conducted an enforcement stop and the search warrant was executed. A search of Woosley, his vehicle and his home revealed more than 500 grams of fentanyl, more than a kilogram of methamphetamine, more than 140 grams of heroin, two assault rifles, a handgun and multiple boxes of ammunition.

An allegation that Woosley has a prior strike conviction for first-degree residential burglary will be determined at the sentencing hearing.

Woosley faces a maximum sentence of 15 years and 4 months in state prison.  Sentencing is set for May 26, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 32 before the Honorable James Arguelles.
