This morning, our office held its 27th Annual Outstanding Citizen Award and Beacon of Hope Award Ceremony at the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers. The Outstanding Citizen Award honors victims and witnesses who have exhibited uncommon courage under extraordinarily challenging circumstances. The Beacon of Hope Award recognizes individuals and organizations that, through their compassion and unwavering commitment, contribute to the advancement of victim advocacy and public safety. Each year, the winners of these awards never fail to inspire us. We want to also thank our law enforcement partners, victim advocates, community organizations and elected officials that are all part of the larger team protecting our victims and communities. We hope to see you next year!
