The District Attorney’s Office partnered with the Public Defender’s Office, Sacramento County Probation and the Sacramento Superior Court to create a new  collaborative court targeting high-risk repeat DUI offenders called The Driving Under the Influence Treatment Court (DUITC). The goal of the program is to keep communities safe and to reduce recidivism among the DUI repeat offenders that will lead to decreased alcohol-related collisions, injuries, and fatalities.  Qualified offenders facing a third or fourth DUI charge are eligible for consideration for entry into the DUITC program.
