Fire Debris

By analyzing fire debris evidence, the laboratory can provide fire investigators with valuable information regarding the cause of a suspicious fire. Arson examinations evaluate debris recovered from scenes for the presence of accelerant residues introduced to a fire scene. This includes: gasoline, fuel oils, ignitable liquids, and specialty solvents. Items tested vary from liquids, to charred debris, such as carpet/flooring, clothing, debris from automobile fires, and liquids removed from ignitable liquid containers, and gas cans.
