CASE: Demar Lacy (24FE009069)
PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Danny Lee, Human Trafficking and Adult Sexual Assault Prosecution
On April 3, 2026, the Honorable Allison Williams sentenced Demar Lacy to three years in prison. On March 11, 2026, Lacy was convicted by a jury of pandering.
The conviction stemmed from an undercover investigation in which Lacy contacted and attempted to recruit an individual he believed to be a young woman into prostitution. Over the course of several months, Lacy communicated through social media and text messages, instructing the victim on how to engage in commercial sex acts, setting pricing, and demanding payment in exchange for his guidance and control. Lacy ultimately arranged to meet the victim in person, at which point law enforcement arrested him. Evidence confirmed his communications and intent to recruit the victim into prostitution.
