Defendant Sentenced to 400-Life for Sexually Assaulting Multiple Children

On March 14, 2025, the Honorable Steve White sentenced Brandon Xiong to 400 years to life in prison. On February 13, 2025, a jury convicted Xiong of three counts of forcible lewd act upon a child, two counts of sex acts with a child under 10 years old, three counts of lewd act upon a child and one count of contacting a minor to commit a felony. The jury also found true a multiple victim enhancement. At the sentencing hearing, the Court found true that Xiong has a prior strike conviction for attempted first-degree burglary.
Xiong sexually assaulted four female victims when they were between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. The victims would come for sleepovers at Xiong’s house. When the girls were sleeping in the middle of the night, Xiong would carry them to a secluded part of the house and sexually assault them. This includes sexual intercourse and sodomy. In October 2018, Xiong sexually assaulted one of the victims. Immediately after that assault, the victim disclosed the abuse to her mother. During the investigation, the additional victims were discovered.
Under current California law, Brandon Xiong (age 29 ) will become eligible for release at an Elder Parole hearing once he reaches the age of 50 and only serves 20 years of his 400-year to life prison sentence, which will be in approximately 20 years.
