Defendant Sentenced for Sexually Assaulting Two Girls

On April 4, 2025, the Honorable Deborah Lobre sentenced Federico Arce Espino to 60 years in prison. On March 11, 2025, a jury convicted Espino of 11 counts of child sexual assault. The Court also found aggravating factors to be true.
From 2016 to 2023, Espino sexually assaulted two girls starting when they were 11 years old. The assaults included Espino assaulting the victims in secluded areas, forcing the victims to touch his genitalia and taking things away from them to extort sexual acts from them to get their items back.
Under current California law, Federico Arce Espino (age 45 ) will become eligible for release at an Elder Parole hearing once he reaches the age of 50 and only serves 20 years of his 60-year prison sentence. With his in-custody credits, that will be in approximately 18 ½ years.
