CASE: Milton Collins & Deandre Collins (Case #21FE014442)

On February 21, 2025, the Honorable Steve White sentenced Milton Collins to 40 years to life in prison and Deandre Collins to 16 months in prison. On September 3, 2024, Milton Collins was convicted by a jury of the second-degree murder of Kiarra George with the allegation that he personally and intentionally discharged a firearm causing death found true. Deandre Collins was found guilty by a jury of criminal threats and vandalism.

Deandre Collins had previously dated the victim. On August 22, 2021, Deandre went to a party at the victim’s apartment with a gun in his waistband. The victim and Deandre got into an argument and Deandre threatened her. When the victim kicked Deandre out of the apartment, he called his brother, Milton Collins, to pick him up from the party. After Milton arrived, Deandre went back upstairs to the apartment to confront the victim. He proceeded to break her front window and the two got into fight. During the fight, the gun fell out of Deandre’s waistband and fell down the apartment complex stairs. Milton Collins picked up the gun and fired one time at the victim, killing her.
