Defendant Convicted of Sexually Assaulting Employee of Wilton Horse Farm
DATE: April 4, 2024
CASE: Victor Valenzuela (Case #22FE019336)
PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Kelly Clark, Adult Sexual Assault Prosecution
Victor Valenzuela was convicted by a jury of forcible rape, forcible penetration with a foreign object and attempted sodomy by force with aggravating factors.
The victim was hired to work at Victor Valenzuela’s horse farm and residence in Wilton. In October 2022, Valenzuela made several inappropriate comments to her throughout her first day on the job. When the victim asked if she could go home, Valenzuela told her he wanted to be with her and directed her toward the bedroom. The victim told Valenzuela she did not want to be with him, and she just wanted to do her job. Once in the bedroom, Valenzuela sexually assaulted her until she was able to run to the bathroom. Before the victim left, she asked to be paid for the work she did that day. Valenzuela gave her $200 and told her it was for her “services.” Immediately upon leaving the ranch, the victim reported the assault and turned over the $200 to police.
Valenzuela faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in state prison. Sentencing is set for May 2, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 24 before the Honorable Kenneth Brody.
