Defendant Sentenced for Sexually Assaulting Two Children

On March 21, 2024, the Honorable Michael Sweet sentenced Michael Bradley to 50 years in prison. On February 23, 2024, Bradley was convicted by a jury of two counts of lewd acts upon a child and four counts of forcible lewd acts upon a child. The jury also found true a substantial sexual conduct allegation and aggravating factors.
Michael Bradley was close to the victims’ family. He began sexually assaulting one victim when she was six years old and a second victim when she was seven years old. When the second victim was 12 years old, Bradley strangled her and raped her multiple times. The second victim disclosed the abuse several years later.
Under current California law, Bradley (age 46) will become eligible for release at an Elder Parole hearing once he reaches the age of 50 and only serves 20 years of his 50-year sentence.
