Adan Amador was convicted by a jury of first-degree murder. The jury also found true a use of firearm allegation.

The night before the murder, Adan Amador and his girlfriend used drugs with the victim. After Amador and his girlfriend left, she told Amador that the victim made sexual advances towards her. The victim later contacted Amador to purchase drugs.  During the second drug encounter, Amador shot the victim two times, killing him.

Amador faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in prison.  Sentencing is set for November 3, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 42 before the Honorable Allen Sumner.
