CASE: Christopher Hagan (Case #23FE011562)

PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Matthew Moore, Gangs & Hate Crimes Unit

On August 25, 2023, Christopher Hagan pled to felony vandalism and admitted to a hate crime enhancement.  The Honorable Raoul Thorbourne sentenced Hagan to 6 months in County Jail.

On July 25, 2023, Hagan spray painted hate symbols on various parts of a building occupied by a jewelry store. Some of the symbols are commonly associated with white supremacy. The graffiti cost more than $1,000 to remove. A good Samaritan witnessed and videotaped Hagan spray painting the hate symbols and reported him to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.  Sheriff’s deputies quickly responded and apprehended Hagan, who was still in possession of the spray paint can he used, which had a Nazi swastika written on it.
