District Attorney Thien Ho announces applications are now being accepted for the Criminal Justice Youth Shadow Day, a program in partnership with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Sacramento County Probation Department, Public Defender’s Office and Sacramento Superior Court.

High school students job shadow professionals from various criminal justice agencies. Students are paired with prosecuting attorneys, defense attorneys, probation officers, law enforcement officers, investigators and judges to get a first-hand look at the criminal justice process and the different roles within the system.

The Criminal Justice Shadow Day will be held on:

August 3, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sacramento City Hall – 915 I Street, Sacramento CA 95814

The program is open to current Sacramento County high school students.  Interested students will need to submit a completed application and signed permission slip, which can be downloaded at www.sacda.org.

The deadline to apply is July 14, 2023.  Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis.  Please apply early.  For questions, email YouthPrograms@sacda.org.
