DATE: November 22, 2022
CASE: Daniel Keith Windover (Case #19FE001485)
PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Danny Jensen, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit
Daniel Keith Windover was convicted by a jury of sodomy on a child under 10 years old and touching a child under 14 years old with sexual intent.
On October 4, 2007, Folsom police officers conducted a probation search on a house that had no power and was in deplorable condition. Inside the home were several adult males and a neglected 4-year-old girl. After the little girl was taken into protective custody, she confirmed something happened to her. She was taken for a precautionary forensic medical exam. Ultimately, the forensic analysis revealed DNA evidence that she had been sexually assaulted. In 2018, there was a DNA hit to Daniel Windover.
Windover faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison. Sentencing is set for January 6, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 42 before the Honorable Allen Sumner.
