On August 3, 2022, Victor Guillen pled guilty to five counts of child sexual assault charges. He also admitted to aggravating factors that the crime involved great violence, great bodily harm, threat of great bodily harm, or other acts disclosing a high degree of cruelty, viciousness, or callousness; the victim was particularly vulnerable; the manner in which the crime was carried out indicates planning, sophistication, or professionalism; and the defendant took advantage of a position of trust or confidence to commit the offense.
From 2012 to 2019, Guillen sexually assaulted three children beginning when they were ages 5, 7 and 10 years old.
Guillen faces a maximum sentence of 50 years in state prison. Sentencing is set for September 7, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 62 before the Honorable Kenneth Brody.
