Nicholas Brynelson was convicted by a jury of the first-degree murder of Jong Hee Park.
On February 12, 2020, Nicholas Brynelson called 911 to report the victim had been beaten up and was not breathing. When deputies arrived on scene, Brynelson exited the residence with blood on his hands and his face, and his right hand was broken. Inside the residence, deputies found a 52-year-old female deceased in the master bedroom. The victim had severe trauma to her head and neck.
Brynelson faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison. Sentencing is set for September 30, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 16 before the Honorable Delbert Oros.
