Darren Fields was convicted by a jury of 11 counts of committing a lewd act on a child under 14 years old, 4 counts of committing a lewd act on a child who was 14-15 years old, 6 counts of sexually assaulting someone under the age of 18 and 3 counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with someone under 18 years old.

Fields was a California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation guard at Folsom State Prison for more than 20 years.  The two victims are sisters and were introduced to Fields when they were 6 and 8 years old.  When the victims were 13 and 15 years old, Fields started to sexually abuse both of them.  This sexual abuse went on for years until the victims finally disclosed to one another what Fields was doing to them.  Fields admitted to sexually abusing the victims.  There were also sexual text messages that one of the victims preserved.

Fields faces a maximum sentence of 36 years and 8 months in prison.  Sentencing is set for August 13, 2021, at 1:30p.m. in Department 4 before the Honorable Steve White.
