Jose Navarrete, Jr. was convicted by a jury of 10 counts of child sexual assault charges.

Navarrete committed substantial sexual assaults against the victim when she was approximately 5 years old and continued for approximately three years.  In August of 2018, the victim and her family reported the abuse to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

Navarrete faces a maximum sentence of 128 years to life in prison.  Sentencing is set for September 1, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 4 before the Honorable Steve White.
