Defendant Convicted of Double Murder After Attempted Burglary of Marijuana Grow House

Sean Huang was convicted by a jury of the first-degree murders of Glen Myers and Ahjanique Hodges.  The jury also found true the allegation that Huang personally used a firearm causing death and the special circumstance that he committed multiple murders.

On April 23, 2017, Mr. Myers and Ms. Hodges attempted to burglarize the home of a marijuana grow.  Huang went to the home and shots were exchanged between Mr. Myers and Huang.  When Mr. Myers ran away from the location, Huang followed him.  Huang then shot and killed both Mr. Myers and Ms. Hodges, who was waiting in a nearby car.

Huang faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.  Sentencing is set for June 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in Department 16 before the Honorable Delbert Oros.
