PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Satnam Rattu, Homicide Unit
The Honorable Kevin McCormick sentenced Michael Nunally to 50 years to life in prison. On February 13, 2020, a jury convicted Nunally of the first-degree murder of Kaster Tezino. The jury also found that Nunally used a firearm in the commission of that murder.
Michael Nunally was seeking revenge for an assault he believed the victim committed. On September 25, 2012, Nunally lured the victim to a motel on Arden Way. Nunally engaged the victim in small talk and when the victim turned to walk away, Nunally shot the victim in the back, killing him.
