Defendant Convicted of 13 Counts of Sexual Assault

Forty seven year-old Andy Kelly was convicted by a jury of 13 counts of sexual assault including committing an act of oral copulation or penetration on a child 10 years old or younger, intercourse with a child 10 years old or younger, and lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.

From 2015 to 2016, Kelly sexually assaulted a young family member. DNA evidence was recovered and corroborated the child’s description of what happened to her.

Kelly faces a maximum sentence of 129 years to life in prison.  Sentencing is scheduled for May 18, 2018, in Department 29 before the Honorable Geoffrey Goodman.
