PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Kristen Andersen, Targeting Armed Recidivist Gang Enforcement Team (TARGET)

Deandre Rogers was convicted by a jury of being a felon in possession of a firearm.  The jury also found true a personal arming allegation and gang enhancement.

On December 14, 2016, a video was released on YouTube showing Deandre Rogers rapping, disrespecting rival gang members, promoting his own gang and holding apparent real firearms.   On December 15, 2016, officers conducted surveillance on Rogers, a known G-Mobb and Starz gang member.  Officers followed Rogers to a restaurant and watched him get into the back of a vehicle.  When they pulled the vehicle over, they located a Glock 21 with 17 rounds loaded in it.   They also located a Glock 27 loaded with 12 rounds in another vehicle Rogers was seen accessing.
