This annual event recognizes and honors the dedication of public safety members, public officials, community and business leaders, educators, health care providers and all those who sacrifice and work tirelessly to protect the safety and well-being of the Sacramento region. This event is also a time to remember the fallen and their families for the ultimate sacrifice they have made on behalf of the community.
This year’s theme “Partnering for Public Safety: Solutions for a Stronger Community” will address the importance of law enforcement partnering with community-based organizations to create a healthier, safer and stronger community. District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert will serve as moderator of a panel of representatives who will provide their unique insight into key areas, and discuss how they are working individually and collaboratively to improve the well-being of the community.
Panelists will be Sacramento Police Chief Daniel Hahn, Reading Partners Executive Director Rachel Minnick, La Familia Counseling Center Executive Director Rachel Rios and Roberts Family Development Center Co-Founder & CEO Derrell Roberts.
Financial contributions from businesses and community organizations are needed to underwrite the cost of the event, and keep ticket prices affordable for all those who wish to attend.
